A traffic accident on Carbonville Road last Thursday evening sent an elderly Price man to the hospital with arm and head injuries.
According to Carbon County Sheriff James Cordova, the driver of a small pickup truck, identified as Jose Aguilar, apparently lost control of the vehicle while traveling northbound near 1600 North.
The sheriff indicated that the vehicle appeared to have skidded off the roadway and onto the side of the railroad bed, then the small truck rolled on it’s side and came to rest back on its wheels.
The county sheriff also explained that Aguilar was ejected from the truck during the accident which was probably caused by wet road conditions due to heavy rainfall at the time of the incident. Cordova concluded that the driver was not wearing his passenger restraints.
