Daniel Butler works with Kacylia Ivory on a computer during Butler’s stay as a “guest teacher” at Castle Heights Elementary during a class last Tuesday. This week (May 5-9) is National Substitute Teacher Week, a time during which school districts honor those who come into schools and take over when regular teachers can’t be in class. Over 120 individuals have helped at various times during this school year in Carbon School District. Many substitutes are fully certified teachers.
