Price Chief Kent Boyack explains the functions of the firetower located near the county fairgrounds to ConacoPhillips representatives. A group of gas company officials visited the site last Saturday and received a guided tour of the facility. At the conclusion of the tour, the company presented Carbon Commissioner Tom Matthews a check to cover a portion of the building expenses. According to Boyack, local crews will start utilizing the tower next spring after training has been received by fire officials as to how to operate the equipment correctly.
