A little goat munches on weeds and grass that are still growing in the area. But the ground cover will be soon disappear and residents should focus on preparing adequate shelters for animals. All animals need a warm place to sleep and plenty of fresh water to drink during cold, wet weather. Along with shelter and water, livestock and pets require extra food during the winter to ensure the animals’ bodies have the energy to fight off the cold.
