As part of Utah coal month, the Carbon County chapter of the Women’s Auxiliary to the American Institute of Mining decorated a window in downtown Helper with authentic mining tools and gear. DeeAnn Kennick, Cherie Palm, Yvonne Olsen and Mary Collins prepare the display by placing items donated by local coal miners in the window. Some of the materials gathered for the display include lanterns, gas detectors, powder boxes and cap lights.
