Shear Joy, owned by Joy Marchello Gipson, located in Spring Glen at 1954 W. 4000 North. 472-5003. Gipson graduated from the College of Eastern Utah and opened Shear Joy August 1986.
She worked hard to gain clientele and specializes in long hair and extensions. Gipson attends many hair shows and keeps updated on all new products.
She recently learned a new hair extension technique that people virtually cannot tell that an extension is part of the style. This is done with minimal damage to the hair.
Gipson has been doing extensions for 14 years , “and this process is amazing. I love doing hair, it is my life,” she says.
In 1997 Gipson and her husband opened Shear Joy Too in Price where they expanded into clothing, nails, tanning and hair salon.
In 1999 they took on another venture and opened a salon in Castle Dale.
