Rosella Henrie
PRICE – Rosella Anne Henrie, age 78, passed away Sept. 28, 2002 at Castleview Hospital. She was born June 6, 1924 in Atlantic, Iowa, to Walter and Pearl Stormer. She married W. Dee Henrie in Elko, Nev. July 22, 1968.
Rose grew up in the Iowa area and had many challenges and difficulties while in her youth which perhaps was influential in developing her tough and spirited personality. Most of her life though, was spent in Price.
She had several employers while living in Price like the Newhouse Motel, The Coffee Cup and others. More recently, she helped with the senior citizens bus.
Rose liked collecting knickknacks and frequented many second hand stores.
Rose had been recently baptized into the LDS Church and was a member of the Price 11th LDS Ward.
She will be missed by her husband and friends.
Survived by husband, W. Dee Henrie.
Clorinda Lovato
SALT LAKE CITY – Maria Clorinda “Clara” Baca Lovato, 87, of Salt Lake City, died Oct. 14, 2002.
She was born July 12, 1915 while her parents, Reymundo and Pacifica Gomez Baca, were visiting in Santa Fe, N.M. Clara married Fidencio “Fred” Lovato in 1931 and from this union they had six children. She and Fred spent their early years in Sopris, Colo., moving with their young family to Utah in 1942.
Clara will be remembered as a very caring and giving person, whose family was her whole life. Clara’s home was always filled with the smell of coffee, good food, singing and music.
Clara loved people and had many friends. She was very active in her church, serving as president of both Altar Society and Guadalupana Society in Helper. She was housekeeper for the late Monsignor Dowling at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Salt Lake City.
She is survived by sons, Rudy (Jan), Helper; Joseph (Catherine) and Michael, both of Salt Lake City; daughters, Shirley Lovato, Seattle, Wash.; Gladys (Andrew) Diaz and Rosalie Aguayo, both of Salt Lake City; half sister, Lily Garcia, of California; brother, Raymond Baca, of Denver, Colo.; 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. Also brother-in-law, Cosme (Mary Jane) Lovato; sister-in-law, Gloria Lovato; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Emma Espinosa. Clara was preceded in death by beloved husband; brother, David Baca; sister, Bernice Lopez; and grandsons, Alfred “Alfie” Rodriguez and Rodney Aguayo; and granddaughter, Paula Joyce Schulte; and great-grandson, Jimmy Neilson.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 11 a.m., at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane (5000 South). A vigil service will be Friday, 7 p.m., also at the church, where friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Committal, Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street under the direction of Neil O’Donnell and Sons.
Victor Zavala
PRICE – Victor Christopher Zavala, age 63, passed away Oct. 15, 2002 in Price.
He was born Nov. 8, 1938 in Longmont, Colo., to Antonio and Isabel Cano Zavala. Married Helen Medina June 25, 1960.
Member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1958. Member UMWA Deer Creek Local 1769 where he retired in November of 2000.
Victor was an avid Denver Bronco’s fan. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, fishing, hunting and camping.
Survived by beloved wife of 42 years, Helen Zavals, Price; daughter, Carrie (Paul) Mullis, Indianapolis, Ind.; sons, Tony (Luz) Zavala, Lawrence (Ruth) Zavala, both of South Jordan; eight sisters, Julie (Manuel) Mercado, West Valley; Pat (Manuel) Vigil, Kearns; Jennie Garcia, Salt Lake City; Francis Godines, South Jordan; Dorthy Hernandez, Salt Lake City; Mercy (Ben) Williams, Kearns; Kathy Finn, Salt Lake City; Mary Jane Godines, West Jordan; grandchildren; Darlene, Chrystal, Jeremy, Chad, Tellina and Neosha; and many loving great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents.

Fran Myers
FT. COLLINS, Colo. – Frances Katherine Myers, age 87, passed away Oct. 15, 2002, at her home in Ft. Collins, Colo.
She was born Sept. 6, 1915 in Salt Lake City, to Nick and Mary Frkovic Myers.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ft. Collins. She was a longtime resident of Carbon County and graduate of Carbon High School. Former resident of Albany, Calif., for many years prior to retiring to Ft. Collins.
Survived by sister, Ann Jackson, Ft. Collins, Colo.; niece, JoAnn Maxton, Ft. Collins, Colo.; and many other loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Joseph, John, Mike and Tony Myers.
Funeral Mass Tuesday, Oct. 22, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service Monday evening, 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Monday and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper.
