Fire crews ensure that no hot spots remain at a brush fire which occurred in north Price Sunday afternoon. The blaze erupted near several homes but was contained before any damage was done to the residence. Carbon County is currently experiencing severe dry conditions and residents are reminded to use caution while near dry brush and grass. Any open flame could easily erupt into a large blaze. It may be nearing the end of summer as far as vacations are concerned, but the closed fire season remains in effect up through October and could be extended should the weather remain warm and dry which would only make conditions worse.
