Twanna Ann Lackey


SUNNYSIDE – Twanna Ann Lackey Rodriguez, age 43, passed away June 27, 2002 at her home.
She was born Oct. 2, 1958 to Emmett and Bonnie Marsh Rodriguez in Redding, Calif.
Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Twanna was a loving and caring person who enjoyed helping her family.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and buying special items for her nieces and nephews.
Twanna had a special love for the outdoors and animals.
She is survived by three sons, Emilio Lackey, Tyler Polito, Brenden Polito; parents, Emmett and Bonnie Rodriguez, all of Sunnyside; brother, Doug Lackey, Newcastle, Colo.; five sisters, Wendy Palacios, New-castle, Colo.; Tammy Tinoco, La Puenta, Calif.; Dianna Naranjo, Salt Lake; Maryann Garcia, Sunnyside; Amber Cordova, Rifle, Colo; 18 nieces and nephews, two great-nieces and six great-nephews.
Funeral service Tuesday, July 2, 11 a.m., East Carbon LDS Ward. Family will be at the church Tuesday one hour prior to service. Interment Valley View Cemetery, Sunnyside, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Carbon Credit Union, 675 E. 100 North, Price UT 84501.


Esther Sanich


EAST CARBON – Esther Sartor Sanich, age 84, passed away June 29, 2002 in Provo.
She was born April 15, 1918 to Ralph and Mary Mazzarise Sartor in Walsenburg, Colo. Married Rudolph Joseph Sanich June 30, 1934 in Walsenburg, Colo. He died Feb. 14, 1990.
Member of the Catholic Church and Good Shepherd Altar Society.
She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and visiting with her friends. Her favorite pastime of late was sharing her love with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be missed dearly by her family and many friends.
Survived by her daughter, Lois (Marty) Casella, East Carbon City; sons, Larry (Debbie) Sanich, Sandy; Ralph (Christine) Sanich, Olympia, Wash.; sister, Wilma (John) Carsella, Pueblo, Colo.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, July 3, 10 a.m., Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Vigil service Tuesday evening, 7 p.m., at the church in East Carbon. Family will be at the church Tuesday and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.


LeRoy Snyder


SAN DIEGO, Calif. – LeRoy Snyder, 78, died June 21, 2002 in San Diego, Calif.
He was born on Dec. 8, 1923 in Madrid, Neb. He was raised in Utah and later resided in San Diego, Calif.
LeRoy was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army infantry from 1943-46.
He is survived by his son, Kent Snyder, San Diego, Cailf.; and a sister Iris (Tom) Rozdilski, Simsbury, Conn. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a sister, Marie (Al) Fox ; and parents, John and Rose Snyder.
Interment July 10 Fort Rosegrant, San Diego, Calif.
