The Annual Girl Scout day camp for the Carbon service district, which includes Carbon and Emery counties, was held a couple weeks ago at the Rigby home in south Price. Fifty-eight girls from throughout Carbon County participated in the three day camp.
The theme “Son’t Bug Me,” was centered around insects and the girls learned a variety of skills as they traveled from station to station where they participated in art projects, listened to guest speakers and were introduced to several learning skills.
Barb Limone served as camp director. Day camp is held every year about this time to assist in outdoor education and conservation for the younger girls in scouts, usually Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts.
The cadets were also part of the activity serving as program aids. They also participated in a campover one evening.
