Blake Anderson
WELLINGTON/WENDOVER, Nev. – God called our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Blake Lee Anderson, home June 22, 2002 in Wendover, Nev.
Blake Lee Anderson was born Dec. 20, 1958 to Harry L. Anderson and Myrtle Lacy Anderson in Moab.
Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Blake attended Wellington Elementary, Mont Harmon Junior High, Carbon High School and, in 1978, moved to Wendover, Nev., with his family. He worked in the oil fields in Utah and Wyoming.
Dealing poker, craps and 21 was Blake’s expertise. He enjoyed playing chess with his uncle Earl. His greatest joys were his nieces and nephews and he had a big heart when it came to his family.
Missing and loving him are his mother, Myrtle Lacy Anderson, Wendover, Nev; sisters and brother, Angel (Mike) Dalpiaz, Helper; Troy (Lisa) Anderson, Colo.; Jolene (Craig) Wyatt, Colo.; grandmother, Velma Anderson, Carbonville; nieces and nephews, Bridget and Robert Kinder, Michael and Kirsten Dalpiaz, Jeana Dalpiaz, Troy Lee and Jamie Anderson, Josh and Jennie Anderson, Nick Wyatt, Katy Anderson and many family members and friends. Waiting to welcome him back home were his father; youngest brother, Lane; niece, Christa Ridl; grandparents; special uncle, Earl Lacy Jr.; and many other relatives.
Funeral service Wednesday, June 26, 1 p.m., Wellington 4th LDS Ward Chapel. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main in Price, Tuesday evening, 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church Wednesday, noon to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Wellington City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Utah Alliance for the Mentally Ill, 501 S. Chipeta Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84108 to further research schizophrenia.
