Carbon School District superintendent David Armstrong along with school board member Mike Magliocco and United Way director Pam Juliano present Rosario Cruz with a certificate of appreciation for her role in community service. Cruz, along with several other Carbon and Emery students have volunteered over 13,000 hours of service to the community in the past year. This is the largest amount of hours served by youth volunteers in the state.
Because of the great accomplishment, the governor awarded the Carbon and Emery volunteers with the silver bowl award for their outstanding service. The award will be housed at the district office for all to enjoy.
