Firemen extinguish the hot spots inside a mobile home at Pillings Trailer Park on Tuesday. The structure fire erupted May 7 at approximately 3 p.m.
According to Price Fire Chief Kent Boyack, the blaze apparently started in the rear of the trailer and quickly spread to the wooden fence located near the mobile home in Carbonville.
Emergency crews from Price and Helper city responded to the scene as part of the local rapid intervention team. The rapid response concept allows fire fighters to utilize the two in, two out rule. The rule sends two suited fire fighters into the structure while leaving two suited rescuers outside.
The intervention program is an added safety precaution for all parties involved in emergency situations.
According to Boyack, the estimated amount of damage to the Carbonville home is $10,000 and the cause of the blaze is remains under investigation.
