Castleview recently announced that Dannette Moynier is the recipient of the local hospital’s 2002 Mercy Award.
The honor places Moynier in nomination for LifePoint Corporation’s award, the highest honor an employee can earn from the parent company of Castleview Hospital.
The Mercy Award was created to honor outstanding individuals for their commitment to LifePoint’s standards of excellence. The honor is given annually in honor of Scott L. Mercy (1961- 2000), founding chief executive officer of LifePoint Hospitals Inc., who was killed in an airplane crash two years ago.
The award commends individuals whose daily dedication and care giving inspire others. The winner of the corporate award will be honored in June at a ceremony during LifePoint Hospital’s retreat in Charleston, S.C.
Moynier has several responsibilities at the hospital. She works with discharge planning, business development and social services as well as coordinating the auxiliary staff. She is involved in the community, including the advisory board for Four Comer’s Mental Health and the aging association in southeastern Utah.
The award honors Moynier for always exhibiting a positive attitude, listening to everyone and being non-judgmental. She solves many problems and is a team player.
Moynier is a team player, according to Castleview officials. She frequently goes to the hospital on weekends to assist the various departments and is gifted in grief counseling.
