PRICE- James B. Nichols, age 85, passed away Feb. 18, 2002 at his home.
He was born Feb. 21, 1916 in Rupert, Idaho, to Holt and Mary A. Hellewell Nichols.
Jim was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America, King Coal/U.S. Fuel Hiawatha Local 6363 with 30 years of dedicated service.
This man was the greatest thing in our lives. There will never be a day pass by that he will not be in our thoughts and hearts. For you see, this man was our Dad.
Survived by his children, Donna Bury, Huntington; James Burrup Nichols Jr., Price; Bob Nichols, Price; Pat (Frank) Modes, Price; wife, Vera, Price; seven grandsons, four granddaughters; 16 great-grandsons, five great-granddaughters; a brother, Robert Nichols, Spokane, Wash.; sister, Mary Martin, Paul, Idaho; and sister, Veda Cronk, Henderson, Nev. Preceded in death by parents; grandson, Tony Modes; brothers, George, Holt and Bill Nichols; and son-in-law, Richard Bury.
The family would like extend a special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice and Margaret Colosimo.
Funeral service Thursday, Feb. 21, 2 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday one hour prior to services. Friends are welcome at Mitchell Funeral Home daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
