Right on the Marks: Former CEU basketball player heating up the court in Oregon
Sara Marks, a former ladies basketball player at the College of Eastern Utah is now making her mark at the University of Southern Oregon.
This past week, Marks was named Cascade Conference player of the week for her tremendous performances this past weekend.
Marks was honored with the player of the week title following a 53 point weekend that included consecutive career high scoring efforts.
Marks completed 11-19 shots, boosting her point total to 25 in the game against Cascade College. In this game, Marks also collected six steals, six assists, and five rebounds.
The following evening, Marks finished with 28 points, 12-19 from the field, eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
These numbers for back to back games has not been touched in recent Southern Oregon history.
The performances by Marks has upped her team best season scoring average to 15.2, which also ranks second in the conference.
Marks will continue to thrill Oregon crowds throughout the season as she puts in motion the skills she acquired at CEU.
