Womens golf tournament slated at country club.
The Carbon two womens best ball golf tournament will take place on August 22. There will be a breakfast held at the country club before the 9 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament is being run by the Carbon Ladies Golf Association. Entrants must have a handicap established to participate.
Registration for the tournament began August 1 and will continue until the field is full. For more information contact Tom King at 637-2388.
International Days race yields high school winners.
The International Days 5K run was dominated by Carbon High runners last week. Cody Butler won the overall race. Seth Marsing was five seconds behind and Scott Terry took third. Brandon Woodward also did well taking fifth overall.
In the girls/womens division Melanie Madsen took first overall. Jessica Child took second in the race.
All these runners are affiliated with the Carbon High cross country team which will soon begin prep competition for the 2001-2002 school year.
