If you bank at Mountain America Credit Union (MACU) in Price, you’ve been hearing about their move to their new digs at Lin’s Market. Because of the new layout, some of the chairs and tables at the existing location would not be usable, so Mary Odendahl was allowed to donate them to the Boys and Girls Club. But it wasn’t going to be easy.
You see, the MACU branch on Main Street needed the furniture until closing time at 6:00 pm, which is about the time the Boys and Girls Club was about to close. Plus, no one at MACU had a truck to make the delivery, and the van the Boys and Girls club owns was in the shop. Fortunately, Leif Nelson heard they needed help, and was able to borrow an available truck from his employer, Electrical Contractors, and move everything during the last few minutes of everyone’s day. Olivia Rodriguez, director of the Boys and Girls Club, was excited to receive the donation.
“I’m just glad I was in the right place at the right time to help out,” said Mr. Nelson.
