Twenty-five-year-old Seth Gordon Peterson entered pleas of not guilty on each of five felony charges during a preliminary hearing in Seventh District Court Wednesday. The charges stem from an incident last November at a ranch near the Hiawatha road that left his mother, 45-year-old Susan Peterson, and his brother, 23-year-old James Peterson, dead. Two hunting rifles were recovered at the scene.
Peterson was charged with two counts of Aggravated Murder, one count of Attempted Aggravated Murder, one count of Aggravated Robbery and Failure to Stop or Respond at the Command of Police.
The next court date is a scheduling conference on June 19.
