The Carbon High School girls’ basketball team added another win to its season total with a victory against Canyon View High School on Friday night, the Dinos’ last home game of the regular season.
The Dinos built up an early lead over the Falcons in the first period, and held that lead through the second quarter, ahead 18-13 at halftime. Tacking on more points, and extending their lead, through the next two quarters, the Dinos pulled off the win.
Senior Lindsey Blanc scored 14 points against the Falcons, leading Carbon, with 10 points from the field and four from the free throw line. Senior Cyene Bigelow scored 10 points in the game and freshman Jordan Bianco scored eight points, including two three-pointers. Bigelow led the Dinos in rebounds with seven, five defensive.
The Dinos currently sit in first place in the Region 12 standings, with a 6-1 league record. Carbon will travel to Juab High School on Thursday for its final game of the regular season.
