WELLINGTON- Troy “Rat” Young, age 48, passed away June 13, 2015 suddenly in a work related accident.
He was born April 18, 1967 in Price, Utah to Larry and Peggy Noyes Young. Married Michele Magliocco, July 11, 1987 in Price, Utah; they later divorced.
Troy was a longtime resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1985 who was affectionately known by everyone as “Rat.” Troy loved working with his hands and he could fix or repair anything. He took great pride in restoring his 1979 Ford and it was his trademark that everyone knew him by. “Rat” was an accomplished mechanic who took great pride in everything he did. His passion was semi’s and he was meticulous about his vehicles that he owned and operated.
He loved working on computers, hunting, fishing, camping and searching the desert for the perfect rock. “Rat” was a cowboy at heart, but his love for operating equipment and driving truck kept him out of the saddle and behind the wheel. At the time of his passing, he was doing what he loved. He was presently employed by Scamp Excavation and will be sorely missed by all.
Survived by his children, Jason Young & Shannon, Alexis Young & Bryce (and her son, Tytis), all of St. George; Sierra Henrikson, Summer Henrikson (and her children Tucker and Weston); parents, Larry & Peggy Young, Wellington; brother, Kelly (Jody) Young, Wellington, sister, Judy Young, Price; grandparents, Lloyd & Hope Noyes; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
