REDLANDS, CA- Norma Speroni Belliston, age 86, passed away two years ago in Redlands, California.

Norma grew up in Carbon County, mostly Helper and it is there that she met her future husband. After WW II they were married and lived in Salt Lake City until moving to Monterey Park, California, where they raised their family. Norma worked for a while as a telephone operator at Bullock’s department store until she became a teacher’s aide in the Alhambra public schools. In 1977 they purchased a local convenience store which became a family business for 11 years. Upon retirement Farrell and Norma moved to Oceanside, California where they enjoyed a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean which Norma enjoyed to the fullest. She enjoyed long walks around the harbor and watching her family enjoy the beach town, with all of its surroundings. Norma was devoted to her family, including her loving mother, Josephine. She will always be remember for her kind heart and gentle spirit.
After suffering through rehabilitation from a significant stroke Norma and Farrell moved closer to their daughter and her family in Redlands. They purchased a home but soon moved into Plymouth Village Retirement Community; where Farrell lives now in the home they shared.
It was here in Redlands, that they learned of the program through Loma Linda University; Bodies for Science. In recognition of the need for human bodies in the education of health professionals and for research purposes, Norma, as well as Farrell, have donated their bodies to the Loma Linda School of Medicine.
Our hearts will never be the same. Rest in Peace.
