The Division of Wildlife Resources Wildlife Recreation program is sponsoring a free “Gals & Guns” firearm safety clinic and shooting opportunity for women 16 and older on Nov. 21. The class starts at 9 a.m. at the Green River City Hall, 50 E. 2nd North St. There’s also a free sandwich lunch.
After the class, you can practice what you’ve learned at the Green River Shooting Sports Park. The park is on the old frontage road east of town. A variety of pistols, shotguns and rifles will be available to shoot.
Pre-registration is required to determine how much food and ammunition is needed.
For more information, or to register, call Walt Maldonado at 435-820-8147 or Brent Stettler, DWR regional conservation outreach manager, at 435-613-3707.
