Letter to the Editor: the courage to continue

By Sun Advocate

Editor:
To the high school students that are going to be involved in the high school rodeo events that are coming up soon.
Remember, try hard, run hard. And remember too that success is not final and losing is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.
Also remember irregardless of how good or how poorly your horse performed, there is the possibility you were not leading him correctly. So when you finish and come out of the gate, please give him or her a pat on the rump. It’s called tender touching and it goes a long way with a horse.
You can get more out of a horse with a curry comb than you can with a quirt.
