Another match, another sweep. Seems like the Carbon High Volleyball team have resumed right where they left off last season. On Thursday the latest victim was Uintah as Carbon beat them 25-11, 25-17, 25-18. The Dinos are now 6-4 in pre season action.
Carbon opened the match with another dominating performance in game one. But they got a bit of a scare in the second game as both Karlee Martino and Joy Malone went down with ankle sprains within minutes of each other. But as they did last season, the rest of the team stepped up and madde the aadjustments neccesary to carry the team to victory.
Coach Cristin Johnson was forced to move her players into positions they don’t usually play. Johnson felt like Britni Greenwood really stepped up her game to fill in for the missing front line players.
For Carbon, it looks like both injuries are minor and the team does not play again until their home match against Park City on Wednesday. They hope to have a full roster as they take to the court at 7 p.m. Sept. 3.
