Traffic slows to a crawl on U.S. Highway 6 last Saturday. The Utah Highway Patrol stopped large trucks and informed drivers that chains were required to travel through the canyon to Spanish Fork. Motorists reported that the drive took at least two hours, with blowing snow and blizzard conditions encountered along of the route. Weather forecasters indicate that winter weather conditions will continue across the state.
