Carbon football looks sharp at annual blue, white contest

By Sun Advocate

On Friday night, before a good crowd, the Carbon high Dino football squad squared off in their annual Blue-White football scrimmage. The hits were hard and the passes were fairly crisp as the team ran plays against each other in their final prep for the season opener next week.
Carbon High Principal Greg Stanfield paced the sidelines watching the game and greeting students that would be attending his school this year. He was looking forward to the upcoming sports seasons and academic years.
Stanfield does want to remind parents that even at football games, there is an expectation of those attending to exhibit good school spirit and respect. In the past few years there has been a small problem with some of the younger kids who have attended games without parental supervision. He wants to make sure that parents that drop off their kids to watch the games make sure they understand that they need to be accountable for their actions.
The Carbon Dinos are kicking off their final season as a region eight team. They are looking forward to a good season and want to see a large crowd in the stands giving them support.
