Life Line pregnancy assistance and support – provides alternatives to abortion for women with unplanned pregnancies. Look Good, Feel Better – The American Cancer Society program helps women address the appearance related side effects of treatment. The group meets the first Monday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m. at Castleview Hospital. To register, call Debbie Prichard at 613-5302.
Cancer resource center – Volunteers are needed to staff the American Cancer Society information center at Castleview Hospital. Hours are flexible and training is free of charge. For information, contact Gail Harding at 613-1132.
Teen parenting class – is scheduled Monday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse. Thirty-six hours will equal one elective credit.
Events
Greek Festival – The cultural event is scheduled July 13 and July 14 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, located at 61 South 200 East in Price.
Greek dancers will perform Friday and Saturday.
A dance is planned Friday on the church patio, with music provided by the Chris Dokos Band.
Additional features include authentic Greek food and pastries, coffee and gift shops, prize drawings, games for children and church tours.
The admission-free event is open to the public.
Sunnyside Rodeo – is slated July 13 and July 14. Pre-registration is not required. For information, contact Linda Andrews at 888-9923.
Wellington Pioneer Days – The celebration will be presented July 20 and July 21 in Wellington.
Dinner and live entertainment are planned Friday, with the parade scheduled to start Saturday at 10 a.m.
The parade entry deadline is July 16.
Additional features include activities for children, a bean bag toss, three on three basketball and vendor booths.

Carbon County Family Support and Children’s Justice Center – offers crisis care for families with children from infants to 11 years old. Crisis nursery is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Residents may use the nursery for respite, doctor and mental health appointments, court appearances, medical emergencies, family crisis, A/Narcotic Anonymous meetings, divorce classes and to escape domestic violence. Parenting classes are scheduled Thursday at 1:30 p.m. For information, call the center at 637-0281. The center is also collecting donations for displaced families. Furniture items will be accepted only if the center has families in need.
