Aaron Chidester
PRICE – Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Joseph Aaron Chidester, age 88, passed away Oct. 22, 2007 at Castleview Hospital in Price.
He was born Aug. 27, 1919 in Bluebell to Joseph H. and Sarah Mabel Ide Chidester. Aaron married Emma Jean Scovill Feb. 13, 1954 in Orangeville and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Aaron was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America Kaiser Steel Local 9958.
He shared a genuine concern for his family and, especially, caring for the animals he raised.
Survived by wife, Emma Chidester, Price; four sons and four daughters, James (Kim) Chidester, Valley Head, Ala.; Vanessa (Mohamid) Bolourforosh, Frisco, Texas; Darryl K. Chidester, Price; Jeffery (Stacie) Chidester, Layton; Bonnie (Don) Sadler, Price; Michel (Vanessa) Chidester, Pocatello, Idaho; Rosanne (Cameron) Boren, Vernal; Diana M. Chidester, Price; sister, Eunice (Don) Johnson, Price; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; brother, James; and sister, Donnabelle Mortensen.
Funeral service Saturday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m., Price 6th LDS Ward Chapel. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. and at the church Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Orangeville City Cemetery.
Bill Hutson III
EAST CARBON – Bill Hutson III, age 64, died Oct. 19, 2007 in East Carbon.
He was born March 4, 1943 in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Bill Hutson Jr. and Nellie Brewer.Married Erlinda Sanchez in 1962, later divorced. They had two sons, Bill Hutson IV and David Hutson.
Bill attended East Carbon High School, then joined the U.S. Navy where he honorably served his country during the Vietnam era.
He lived in San Jose, Calif., for several years and worked as an electrician and helped his mother manage apartments.
He later returned to East Carbon, where he worked for Sunnyside city, Sunnyside Bowling Alley, and drove the Notre Dame School bus for the East Carbon students.
He enjoyed building model cars, old license plates, Indian lore, old guns, and spending time outdoors.
He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Bill is survived by his two sons, Bill Hutson IV, East Carbon; David Hutson, Price; mother, Nellie Hutson, San Jose, Calif.; sisters, Linda Thomas, San Jose, Calif.; Pat Hutson, Atascadero, Calif.; brother, Terry Hutson, San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren, Tara Holdaway, Danyelle, Breanna, Alazayea Hutson. Bill was preceded in death by his father.
The family would like to thank special friends Vic and Ruth Herrera, Valerie Sanchez, Jim Massat, Sandy Wing and Lyle and Bonnie Lamb.

Helen Davies
HELPER – Helen Lorenc Davies, age 86, passed away Oct. 23, 2007 at the Heritage Park Care Center in Roy.
Born June 2, 1921 in Lvov, Poland, to Wlodyslaw and Aniela Stryczek Lorence. Married Raymond Mose Davies Aug. 18, 1951 in Chicago, Ill.; he died June 23, 1998.
Helen was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper, where she was the past president of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She enjoyed arts and crafts and the camaraderie at the senior center.
Her favorite pastime was playing a card game called Skip-Bo.
She touched the hearts of everyone whom she came in contact with.
Survived by two sons and two daughters, Anthony (Paulette) Davies, Villa Park, Ill.; Edwin (Mona) Davies, Roy; Gloria (Joe) Ginski, San Carlos, Calif.; Ruby (Richie) Allen, Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Jean Przepalkowski, Carol (Chester) Gulik, both of Chicago, Ill.; sister-in-law, Toshia Lorence, Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Joe Jr., Kristyn, Jessica, Greg, Benjamin, Alicia and Gary; five great-grandchildren, Ian, Michael, Zachary, Jacob and Kaylee. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Frank Lorenc; son, Eugene; and daughter, Barbara.
Funeral Mass, Saturday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m. St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service Friday evening, 7 p.m., at the church in Helper. Tom Martinez
PRICE -Thomas F. Martinez, age 89, passed away Oct. 23, 2007 in Price.
He was born Jan. 8, 1918 in Velarde, N.M., to Presciliano and Delfina Romero Martinez.Married Josephine Lohman Nov. 26, 1945 in Santa Fe, N.M.; she died on Aug. 12, 1998. Married Evangelina “Eva” Ledesma, Sept. 29, 1999 in Price.
Tom was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, where he was in the Knights of Columbus.
He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army, where he was honorably discharged at the end of the war at the rank of staff sergeant. He was a highly decorated veteran, receiving one silver star,six bronze stars, one purple heart and various other medals.
Member of the VFW Miners Post 2379.
Tom worked in various coal mines in the area and was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America and Kaiser Steel Local 9958.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, camping with family and reminiscing with his friends.
He is survived by wife, Evangelina Martinez, Price; five sons and four daughters, Tommy P. (Nancy) Martinez, Price; Michael (Karen) Martinez, Price; Robert (Ann) Martinez, Cedar City; James Martinez, West Jordan; Margie Fitzgerald, Price; Martha (Mike) Kilcrease, Rock Springs, Wyo.; Patrick Martinez, Salt Lake City; Genevieve Martinez, Helper; Dorothy (Manuel) Trujillo, Layton; Evangelina’s children, Madalina Flores, Provo; Ismael Mendonza, Phoenix, Ariz.; Alma Ramirez, Lourdes Estrada, Lupita Ortez, Julian Mendoza, all of Nuva Casa, Grandes, Mexico; brother, Martin, Velarde, N.M.; sisters, Angie, Pueblo, Colo.; Louisa, Clinton and Flora and Bobbie; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, sisters, Perfecta “Tita” and Margie.
