American Legion Baseball starts season off with a big victory

The Helper American Legion team opened its 07 season on the road with a win over Woods Cross. It was a low scoring affair for both teams with Helper prevailing 4-2. Kyler Edgehouse pitched a complete game. Aaron Sandoval had a good game with the bat contributing a single in the first as well as an inside the park home run in the 5th. JJ Blue also played well with two hits. Blue singled in the first to score Sandoval and hit a solo home run in the 5th as well. Also having a good night at the plate was JD Sherman. Sherman had a triple in the second inning to score Blake Mortensen who got on after being hit by a pitch.
Helper plays at home June, 13 at 7:00 p.m. and then will be in Burley, Idaho for the rest of the week.
