Though seagulls are not commonly found in Carbon County, a group of the birds stopped in a plowed field near U.S. Highway 6 and Old Wellington Road last week. Brent Stettler of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources said seagulls are common at Desert Lake and Huntington Reservoir in Emery County. At times, they may venture a few miles out to find food.
