PRICE – Karen Cox, former longtime resident of Price, passed away Feb. 25, 2007 in Salt Lake City.
She is the daughter of Frank and Georgia Cox, also longtime residents of Price.
Karen graduated from Carbon High School in 1960 and attended CEU where she earned an associated degree. She then earned a nursing degree from Westminster College in Salt Lake City.
She attended USU in Logan and earned an elementary ed degree. She taught school in Price, Tooele and Montezuma Creek.
She is survived by three brothers, two sisters and a large extended family.


Rita Kinder Clavel


HIAWATHA/RENO, Nev. – Rita Clavel Kinder, 72, passed away July 12, 2007 at Renown (Washoe) Medical Center. She was surrounded by her husband and children.
Rita was born in Hiawatha July 15, 1934, the daughter of Alfred and Ellia Clavel.
She moved to Reno, Nev., with her family in 1966, where she resided for the past 41 years.
She earned her associates degree in nursing in 1978 at Truckee Meadows Community College. She went to work as a registered nurse for Washoe Medical Center in the cardiac intensive care unit, for the next 20 years.
She had lifelong hobbies of sewing and needlework.
Rita enjoyed camping, fishing and motor home travel with the Good Sams Group and, of course, her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Reno 2nd LDS Ward. Her marriage to Fred was solemnized in the Reno LDS Temple in 2006.
Surviving and greatly missed by her husband, Fred Kinder; daughters, Tova (Barry) Roseman, Tracy (Jim) Murphy; sons, Marc and Lynn Kinder; grandchildren, Salvatore, Joseph, Dominic, Annalucia, Jett, Hunter and Krystal.
Services are to be private with family under the direction of Northern Nevada Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.
