At last, aesthetic medicine has come to Price. Aesthetic medicine or cosmetic dermatology is a relatively new field of medicine that involves non-invasive techniques to enhance ones’ appearance. Dr. Glori Allen is pleased to announce that these procedures will be available at the Body Glo Day Spa at 69 W. Main, Price. Dr. Allen is joining Laska Newman, owner and operator of Body Glo Day Spa, in expanding the services at the day spa. This will include cosmetic dermatology services, and create a medical spa as well.
Dr. Allen is board certified in internal medicine as well as emergency medicine and practices full-time in the emergency room at Castleview Hospital. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University Health Science Center and moved to Utah in 1992.

Dr. Allen has taken advanced courses in Cosmetic Fillers (Restylane), Botox, Intense Pulsed Light hair removal, photo-rejuvenation, photodynamic therapy, and acne treatments. Sclerotherapy (vein removal) will be offered starting in December.

The medical spa includes a Medilux Intense Pulsed Light machine that performs photo facials, takes off age spots, removes hair and treats broken capillaries on the face. Restylane is a clear, non-animal substance called Hylauronic acid. This can be carefully injected under the skin to plump up areas that have lost collagen, thus creating deep folds around the mouth and nose. Botox is a natural chemical which will smooth the upper part of the face. It has been used safely for 25 years, and Dr. Allen has trained with the leading experts in the use of cosmetic and therapeutic uses of Botox.
