Emergency response crews work to free two individuals trapped in a Honda Civic at the Junction of U.S. Highway 6 and Utah Highway 123. The accident occurred after the driver of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo reportedly attempted to turn left off of Highway 6 to Highway 123. As the driver of the vehicle crossed oncoming traffic, a Honda Civic struck the vehicle, reported a state trooper who responded to the scene. The Monte Carlo was spun almost completely around, but remained on the roadway. The Civic, however, ran off the highway. Airbags were deployed in both vehicles. The driver of the Monte Carlo was reported to have suffered minor injuries and a broken bone. The two occupants of the Civic were taken by ambulance to Castleview Hospital for treatment and were reported to be in stable condition. Both suffered serious injuries, with the driver sustaining more injuries than the passenger.
