The seventh and eighth grade football team at Mont Harmon Junior High competed and won against Moab on September 10.
The football team at Mont Harmon has gone undefeated this season and the seventh and eighth grade team seems to continue the legacy against opposing teams.
The Pirates went up against Moab High School in what turned out to be another winning game for Mont Harmon.
The Moab team came out onto the field with two quick touchdown scores that seemed to shock fans of the Pirates.
Mont Harmon’s coach, Tim Tiller quickly called a timeout on the field and made his presence known. The young team responded to Coach Tiller’s requests.
Once again the Pirates were overmatched by the Moab team. Even though the Pirates are undersized, they did what they do best, which is team work and speed.
Being 14 points down, the offense opened up and scored a total of 22 points in the second quarter.
In the second half, the Pirate’s defense proved why Mont Harmon is a winning team by only allowing two first downs. The Pirates scored two more touchdowns in the second half to make the final score 36-14.
Though Coach Tiller did an astounding coaching job, his assistant coaches pitched in and helped their team to a win.
