A track hoe digs a trench on Carbonville Road for the placement of utility lines. The work is the beginning of the long awaited construction project to renovate the road, which is still configured much like it was when it was Highway 6, before the bypass road was built. Moving utilities is just the first phase of the project. The actual construction on parts of the road will not begin until next year, but bids should go out for the project in a month or so.
