Scavo serves internship with pro team

Ross Scavo, formerly of Helper and a 2001 graduate of Carbon High School spent this past summer with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an intern in sports medicine.
Scavo was chosen as one of Valdosta State University’s top juniors in sports medicine and was able to assist the medical team of the Buccaneers during their game with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He has now returned to the Georgia school to finish his senior curriculum this fall.
He has also been selected to serve his senior internship with the University of Auburn in Auburn, Ala. from January of next year through May.
He hopes to pursue his master degree in sports medicine management at Auburn and eventually secure a position with the school.
