A Carbon County road grader with snow equipment stops for a few minutes before attempting to go farther in clearing the road up to Grassy Trail Reservoir above East Carbon and Sunnyside. Concerns about the large amount of rain on top of very wet snow prompted the action based on fears the dam could be filling too rapidly while not enough water was being released. But by the end of the evening the grader could not quite make it to the valves or the dam to check out the situation. East Carbon Mayor Dale Andrews who was present at the site said he thought the water being released was adequate, but that a crew with a four wheel drive backhoe and loader will go up to the site later in the week evaluate the situation and to increase the release of water if it is warrented.
