Jamie King goes up for a spike during the game with Delta.

Carbon High volleyball couldn’t seem to get anything right early against Delta High on Oct. 7.
Delta’s impenetrable defense led to many Carbon mistakes and the Lady Rabbits were only a few points from closing the deal in the opening game of the match.
With the team exposed to the possibility of its first lost game this season, Lady Dino head coach Bruce Bean called a time out to give his players the opportunity to collect themselves. A different team then returned to the court.
Carbon rallied back to a 25-21 win over Delta, taking a game that had seemed to belong to the Lady Rabbits the entire way.
Delta was able to keep the second and third game close for several points, but the Lady Rabbits had allowed Carbon to gather all the steam it would need to bowl them over.
The Lady Dinos took the match in three straight, 25-21, 25-15 and 25-17.
With the win, Carbon remains on its undefeated path in Region 8. The Lady Dinos are currently 5-0 in the region and and 11-0 for the season. While the team is assured a state tournament birth, every victory makes the teams chances of total success that much better.
Carbon will now play Emery High tonight at Emery. The varsity match will begin at 6:30 p.m.
