A Lehi player takes a shot on the Carbon goal. The Lady Dinos concluded the 2004 soccer season with a 8-0 loss to the Lehi Pioneers.

Carbon High soccer is done for the 2004 year.
The final match, against Region 8 powerhouse Lehi, ended much as expected. Lehi turned in the same dominating performance that has characterized its reign over the 3A region in past years.
Lehi scored its first goal of the match almost immediately, casting a shadow over the already stormy conditions on the field.
Carbon was unable to keep up with the aggressive and disciplined ball control of the Lady Pioneers and soon the game became a matter of stopping as many Lehi goals as possible.
The Pioneers would finish the match with 43 shots on the goal.
Final score of the match was 8-0.
No region team was able to dethrown the Lady Pioneers this year and the strong program will likely make its presense felt at the state tournament.
Lehi is 31-1 in the last four years of play.
Tuesday’s game was the last time Carbon High will face Lehi on the soccer field.
The Pioneers will be part of the reclassification of the Utah High School Activities Association next season and will be moved to the 4A division.
To replace the large school, Juan Diego and Granite will be added to Region 8.
