PRICE – Today, we lost our dear wife, mother and saint. Beverly Ann Jones Zele Christiansen, age 70, died March 15, 2004 at her home in Price.
Married William “Bill” Zele, later divorced. Married Leigh D. Christiansen Sept. 2, 1974 in Elko, Nev.
Beverly enjoyed fishing, camping and being with her family in the outdoors.
She had a special love for her tiny little dogs, Ozzie, Abby, and Parker.
She will be dearly missed by her loving family and words cannot express their loss and sorrow.
Survived by her husband, Leigh Christiansen, Price; two daughters, Debbie (Frenchie) Boutchyard, Draper; Pam (Max) Moody, Price; three sons, Bart F. Zele, Nucla, Colo.; Brett N. Zele, Durango, Colo.; Chance Christiansen, Salt Lake City; brother, Merrill (Betty) Jones, Price; sisters, Shirley Love, Clearfield; Bonnie Jones, Las Vegas, Nev.; special friend and caregiver, Trudy Markosek, Price; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; and daughter, Lacie Dawn Zele.
Funeral service Saturday, March 20, 2 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.


Nancy Marra


PRICE – Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nancy Fleetwood Marra, died March 11, 2004 at the Heirloom Inn.
Born April 26, 1911 in Delta, Colo, to Warren Earl and Nellie Louise Hetts Fleetwood. Married Frank Marra Dec. 27, 1937 in Salt Lake City. He died May 18, 1986.
We will always remember her as the loving lady that she was.
Nancy enjoyed working in her garden and baking goodies for her two granddaughters.
Nancy was an R.N. and graduated from Salt Lake General Hospital in 1933.
Survived by son, Earl (Carol) Marra, Price; two granddaughters, Machele (Shane) Lemon, Grand Junction, Colo.; Stephanie (Steve) Oviatt, Huntington; the love of her life great-grandson, Nickolas Ross Oviatt; and niece, Lorriaine Gozzole, Alamongardo, N.M.
At Nancy’s request, there will be no service and she will be cremated.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Heirloom Inn staff for the wonderful care given to Nancy during her stay there. Also a warm thank you to JoAnn and the team at Hospice.


Richard Kuhns


EAST CARBON/SALT LAKE CITY – Richard Charles Kuhns, age 61, passed away March 15, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Villa in Salt Lake City, while surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 6, 1942 in Salt Lake City to Richard C. and Lucille Andersen Kuhns.
Richard was a devoted and longtime member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in East Carbon.
He graduated from East Carbon High School and later attended the College of Eastern Utah.
For the past 19 years, Richard worked for American Express in Salt Lake City.
He will be dearly missed by family and many longtime friends.
Survived by five brothers, Dan E. (Toshiko) Kuhns, Antelope, Calif.; Gary A. (Shirley) Kuhns, Wendover, Nev.; David H. (Rebecca) Kuhns, Imperial, Miss.; Michael W. Kuhns, Mesa, Ariz.; Steven W. Kuhns, Loveland, Colo.; special friends, Richard Madrid, Salt Lake City; Darlene Kuhns, East Carbon; many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; and sister-in-law, Virginia Kuhns.
Funeral service Saturday, March 20, 11 a.m., Ascension St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 522 Homestead Boulevard in Price. Family will be at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple in Salt Lake City, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 E. Main St. in Price Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Family will be at St. Matthew’s Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Valley View Cemetery, Sunny-side.
In lieu of flowers, Richard requested contributions to Ascension St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 522 Homestead Blvd.
