Letter to the Editor: Don’t characterize by the acts of a few

By Sun Advocate

Editor:
I am a 20 year old soldier in Iraq. I graduated from Carbon High School in 2003. I have been in Iraq for about five months.
I cannot stand to even watch the news anymore because all I ever see is how the poor people in the prisons are so mistreated. What most people don’t know and understand is that those are the people that are setting up bombs on the side of the road here. Since the release of some 300 plus detainees from the Abu Garhib prison the hostilities have grown larger.
I agree that the soldiers in that particular prison were wrong, there is no doubt about that. I believe any real soldier would agree with me as well.
What I am trying to say is don’t characterize the soldiers of America by the acts of a few, we are neither mean nor cruel, we just do our job.
Go Dinos!!!
