It is apparent environmental groups are appealing each and every instance they can come up with to affect drilling applications that mineral exploration companies apply for. Looking for beds of natural gas or crude oil has been delayed or withdrawn continually because of these appeals. Never once have these groups given any thought to how their actions could affect this country.
Readers of this letter should pause and give thought to what might happen. Suppose Saudi Arabia was convinced by radical Islamic nations to stop producing oil for the United States. Have you ever wondered what devastating effect it would have on us. Once mid-eastern oil is stopped from coming to the United States, it would be too late to start exploring and drilling. We would become a defeated nation.
Those of you sitting on the sidelines or straddling the fence had better get into the act as you will be the ones most affected by these types of actions.
