Danny Blanton and Gary Prazen prepare the base for the Kokopelli sculpture that will be mounted in the intersection of Main Street and 100 West in Price. Blanton and Prazen, the artist who sculpted the mystical flute player, worked on the base last weekend in hopes to mount the large statue this week. But, cooler wet weather forced them to build a cover over the base. As soon as things dry out the statue will be unveiled. Local officials project that the new artwork will not affect traffic and the intersection will not have to become a roundabout.
