Policeman Mike Gledhill fastens his seatbelt prior to patrolling the streets of Wellington. The Wellington City Police Department is participating with the Utah Highway Patrol in the Buckled or Busted seatbelt traffic safety program. The statewide enforcement campaign allows UHP troopers and participating police officers to initiate traffic stops when motor vehicle drivers and passengers are not wearing seatbelts. During the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, Wellington officers and UHP troopers will patrol local roadways vigorously watching for seatbelt usage.
