Carbon Dinos visit Spartan Center

Chase Julian tries to regain control of the ball after tangling with a Spartan.

Ten three-pointers by Emery cooled Carbon High’s chances of taking a win on the road from the Spartans on Friday night.
The Dinos were unable to overcome a second and third quarter lapse when Emery outscored the team 36-20.
Emery recorded the region eight win, 70-61.
Chase Julian led the Dinos with 14 points.
Four other Carbon players scored in double digits in the loss, including Brandon Manzanares with 13, Tyler Nelson and Zach Henseler with 11 and Bryan Stewart with 10.
On the previous night, the Lady Dinos broke open a close game in the final minutes, outscoring the Lady Spartans 16-3 in the last six minutes of the fourth quarter.
Brittany Pollastro was the high scorer of the game with 12.
Morgan Warburton added 10 and Cassie Christman posted nine.
The Lady Dinos improve to 4-2 in the region.
The boys and girls teams host Delta today.
Game times are 7 p.m.
