Carbon County slow pitch softball league reaches season mid-point

By Sun Advocate

The Carbon County Recreation slow pitch softball league has reached the mid-point of their season.
Currently, the Carbon County recreation department has 23 separate men’s softball teams enrolled in the program. This makes the local league the largest mens softball program per capita in the state.
Castle Valley teams compete each Monday through Thursday at the Carbon County fairgrounds ball field complex during the evenings.
The second half of the season has begun and a post season championship tournament will take place in each division later this summer.
Co-ed and the late fall die hard leagues will begin in mid August.
Registration deadline for these leagues is July 25 and interested competitors may contact the county recreation department at 637-5092 for more information and applications.
The current season teams are divided into three divisions and the mid season standings are as follows.
