PRICE – Marilyn June Oliveto Robertson passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. Sam Louis Oliveto and Mrs. June A. Spratling Oliveto.
Marilyn was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Her love and kindness continue as a legacy to her family.
She is survived by two children, Jessica June (Peter) Loebbecke; Samuel Jason (Ember) Hobi; two grandchildren, Samuel Jarom and Jennica June Hobi; mother, June A. Oliveto; and sister, Judith (Richard) Kelly.
Funeral service Friday, Aug. 22, 10 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.


Pauline Evans


PRICE – Pauline Miller Evans, age 74, passed away Aug. 18, 2003 in Draper.
Born Oct. 20, 1928 in Stevenson, Wash., to Jacob and Juanita “Mabel” Roe Miller. Married Rulon “Dee” Evans Oct. 13, 1951 in Reno, Nev. He died March 8, 1995.
Member of the Price United Methodist Church.
Pauline was a resident of Carbon County since 1956, where she was a longtime employee of Safeway’s in Price.
She was a former member of the Price Ladies of Elks, Soroptimist International and Macria Delpha.
Pauline enjoyed ceramics, fishing and, most of all, her trips to Mexico each year with Dee.
Survived by daughter, Tracy Christensen, Rock Springs, Wyo.; son, James Evans, Draper; three grandchildren, Allissa Dee, Randee, Johna; two great-grandchildren, Dominique and Lexus. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Jacob.
Special thanks to Pat and Bill Johnson for their loving care of Pauline during her last two years.
Funeral service Thursday, Aug. 21, 2 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.


Alfred Clavel


PRICE/GROSSE POINT, Mass. – Alfred (Arlen) Clavel, age 73, passed away Aug. 4, 2003 at his home in Grosse Pointe, Mass.
He was born March 19, 1930 in Hiawatha.
He grew up in Hiawatha and graduated from Carbon High, Carbon College in Price where he was student body president and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He was in the U.S. Navy as commissioned officer from 1953 to 1956.
Alfred is survived by wife of 45 years, Elizabeth; daughters, Bonnie (Lewis) Henderson; Nannette;son, Alfred (Diane) Clavel Jr.,M.D.; brother, George (Geniveve); sister, Rita (Fred) Kinder; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Michael Guy; parents, Alfred Sr. and Elio Clavel; and sister, Simone (Francis) Greenland.
Private services were conducted after cremation.
