Mandy Bera


Quinn Jessen

Denise Bera along with Angelo and Joy Bera announce the marriage of their daughter and granddaughter, Mandy Denea’ Bera, to Quinn Reay Jessen, the son of Robert Lee and Monica Jessen of Altamont.
The couple will marry Aug. 16. A garden reception will be presented in the newlyweds honor that evening from 6 to 9 p.m. in Altonah at the residence of the groom’s grandparents, Beth and the late Reay Jessen. In casae of oversight all friends and family are invited.
Mandy is a 2000 graduate of Carbon High and a 2001 graduate of the College of Eastern Utah, and is currently employed at UBTA Communications. Quinn is a 1997 graduate of Altamont High and attended the College of Eastern Utah an is currently employed at Unit Drilling.
The couple will make their home in Roosevelt.


Teresa Bryant

John and Sara Bryant announce the marriage of their daughter, Teresa Lynn, to Jeremiah S. Duncan, the son of Douglas and the late Mary Jane Duncan.
They were married Aug. 2, in Highland. An open house reception will be held in their honor on Saturday, Aug. 23, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Old Institute Building, 380 E. 400 North, Price.
The couple will make their home in Lehi while they continue their schooling at Utah Valley State College and the University of Utah.


Elizabeth Hale


Michael Prettyman

Ernie and Doris Prettyman announce the marriage of their son, Michael, to Elizabeth Hale, of Springville. They will be joined together eternally in the Manti LDS Temple on Aug. 15.
Michael is a graduate of Carbon High and is currently working for Stock Building Supply in West Jordan. Liz is the daughter of Gary and Signe Gillum and the late Lynn G. Hale. She graduated from Springville High. One year after graduation Elizabeth joined the military. She currently designs wedding and evening gowns and raises her two small children.
A reception in their honor will be held that evening at the Main Street Chapel in Springville. An open house will be given on Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Helper LDS Stake Center.


Wendi Potter


Jason Jorgensen

Sterling and Mariella Potter announce the marriage of their daughter, Wendi Potter, to Jason Jorgensen, the son of Bruce and Risa Jorgensen of Logan. The couple will be married Aug. 15, at the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Wendi is a 2001 Carbon High School graduate and earned an associate degree in science from CEU in 2002. She is currently a senior at Utah State Univeristy and is studying communicative disorders. Jason is a 1999 Skyview High School graduate and is currently studying finance and economics at Utah State University. He also served a mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The couple will make their home in Logan where they will finish their education.


Alicia Purcell

Mary Lucille Purcell and the late Ivan R. “Lucky” Purcell announce the marriage of their daughter, Alicia, to Timothy Shalon Jeys, the son of George and Shauna Davis of Cedaredge, Colo. and Frank and Mary Jeys of Duchesne.
They were married Aug. 4, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Jason Rasmussen

Amy L Watkins and Jason Rasmussen were married Friday Aug. 8, in the Manti LDS Temple. Jason and Amy are currently attending CEU and plan to further their education at the University of Utah next fall. Jason served a full time LDS mission to Johannesburg, South Africa and Amy recently handed down the title of Miss Carbon County 2003. Parents of the bride are Chuck and Terri Watkins and parents of the groom and Doug and Kaye Rasmussen.


Sarah Whitehead


Nicholas Sidwell

Nicholas Sidwell, the son of Keith and Allison Sidwell, and Sarah Whitehead, the daughter of Alden and Peggy Whitehead were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti LDS Temple on Thursday, Aug. 7. A garden reception in their honor will be held Friday, Aug. 15, at the Whitehead residence, and an open house Saturday, Aug. 16, in Kearns.
Nicholas served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Torreon Mexico Mission. Sarah graduated from Southern Utah University with a BS degree in elementary education and a minor in early childhood education. She will be teaching 4th grade at Parowan Elementary while Nick finishes a business degree at SUU. They will reside in Cedar City.

Mr. and Mrs. Steven D. Worden announce the marriage of their daughter, Emily Ana, to Nicholas Don Gordon, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don V. Gordon on A ug. 15, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
