Castleview Hospital CEO, Jeff Manley presents Jennifer Hatfield with a check to be used by local military families. After the 1457 National Guard unit was deployed in February, Hatfield, who’s husband is part of the military unit, approached the hospital with a proposition to raise funds for the families left behind. The money raised will go toward unforeseen expenses such as medical bills and other emergencies which the families may incur during the troops deployment. The hospital provided $5,000 and donations from local companies and residents are being collected at the medical facility to match the hospital’s contribution. To ensure that these funds are used by those who they are intended for, a committee has been formed and each check must be signed by four committee members.
